Speculations Sword will capture Hancock

#1
So far the new marines are yet to get a solid win. Smoker and Tashigi jobbed in PH, Drake jobbed in wano, and the new marines ultimately ended up sacrificing Garp to save Koby and the hostages.

The hachinosu incident imo marks a turning point, as Garp officially passed the torch to the next gen.

Hence I think we’re bound for a major Sword win soon. I think capturing Hancock will be that win. She said she was planning on finding Luffy. Koby was ordered to capture Hancock and also wants to stop Luffy.

Capturing Hancock is the perfect next step.

I think Oda could ultimately use Hancock’s capture to set up Luffy vs Shamrock or Luffy vs Akainu, with Hancock being a bait to trap Luffy. A God Valley 2.0, if you will.

They've got bigger trouble at hand at the moment, which is cross-guild.
Not just cross guild but the others emperors as well

Not gonna happen sword should be focusing on how they gonna get garp back from the Blackbeard pirates than going after boa

You gotta stop bro. Sword already failed their mission, Hancock is simply on another level. Why would Oda just repeat that plot?
Maybe shock value! But yeah why would he do that anyways

Last time the WG captured a Kuja princess, they were able to, if inadvertently, bait and take down the Rocks pirates.

Hancock having ties to Luffy should be known. They put his wanted poster on Amazon lily and Hancock even defended Luffy in MF.

Going after Boa to get to Luffy is definitely something the WG would do.

because Koby beating Hancock out of nowhere would be unrealistic to many readers, as he’s previously been shown as a fodder.

But Hachinosu shifted how Koby was portrayed, and Koby seemingly got a powerful haki awakening.

post hachinosu Koby beating Hancock is believable.

instead of going after Poneglyphs?
Wouldnt that get him executed

Shakky wasn't used as bait and they don't know her connection to Luffy if Oda wanted her capture he would've done it already she been caught once it's not happening again

That’s like saying Ace isn’t going to die because he didn’t die when Teach fought him

In their first encounter, Koby had zero hype whatsoever. Then in hachinosu, Koby was set up as future of the marines.

Koby succeeded now where he failed in the past would show character growth. It would show him actually becoming Garp’s successor.

Very very high chance honesty impact was “leaking ACoC” like what Zoro did on the roof.

Koby vs Hancock was like, the second time he was shown post TS after getting training. There was no reason to think he would be weaker then Hancock before it happened.

Also again, we would just be repeating a plot for no reason, and for what? Hancock isn´t even really *that* evil

God Valley 2.0 will be Blackbeard raiding Maryjoa, taking some hostages (including Charlos) and leaving. Then Luffy and Smoker confront him.

To set up a future conflict with the WG and Luffy, and to build up Koby as Garp’s successor

When Koby was in Amazon lily, he would have lost to Hancock. Teach literally saved him. Now he has a haki awakening and is stronger.

It’s not repeating a plot for a character to succeed at something they failed at in the past.

Maybe. But a new CD extermination game with Hancock as the prize could also work.

Nah I don't want to see God Valley 2.0
At least not in that way

You´re trying too hard to have Koby as some anatagonistic character to Luffy and the SHP. That isn´t going to happen. If they fight, it will just be testing their strengths/clash piece. It won´t be because Koby arrested Hancock or something, and if he did arrest her, Oda won´t have a situation where Koby sets up Hancock to be a sex slave/murdered by CD´s.

If Koby fought a former warlord it would be someone evil who´s threatening civilians like Croco, maybe Moriah etc. It won´t be someone who´s at least vaguley good coded. He isn´t Garp who likes fighting pirates for fun, he is more focused on helping civlians(note Garp getting his hero title for fighting the Rocks pirates and Koby got his for evacuating civilians at Rocky port)

So basically Hancock gets f#cked over to set koby as the next garp gets captured turns into a damsel in distress once again yeah no terrible writing

I mean when Koby literally says “I need to stop you from achieving your dream”, I would expect him to at least try to follow through on that.

And given how Luffy himself is a yonko with the power of a god, going after Luffy’s nakama is probably the best step Koby can make.

Yes in the grand scheme of things, Hancock isnt as important and Oda would definitely have her captured to further conflicts.

If oda wanted Hancock captured he would've done it already but he didn't she was already capture is never gonna happen what's the point in writing her being captured later than sooner it makes no sense if he wanted a character to trigger the final war vivi is right there pal
