I agree. He went too far to take down Alucard that he became what he hated. Both Anderson and Walter had to become monsters to try to take down the biggest monster out there.

At the end of the day, Alucard was just way overpowered and still way stronger than anderson could be. But Anderson was an epic character and a worthy opponent.
