2) Yes, good thing they can (and did) accomplish both. There was some environmental damage, but that was purely due to Garp, BBP hadn't directly did any.

If we were meant to believe Shiryuu finished Garp off, it would be implied. But Kuzan's attack is shown piercing him and Kuzan has said he "aimed to kill Garp"

Because if we are arguing that Kuzan wasn't significantly nerfed due to environment here, we are saying that IG and random freeze stabs are the only advantage to his fruit (which would make it dogshit) against top tiers, as his fists and Haki are far more powerful than basic freezing attacks.

He's saying it's alright that they didn't manage to eliminate him completely and took some time/effort to take him down (which resulted in Koby and the others getting away along with tons of slaves and Moria) because of how strong he is. Most other characters couldn't manage to take down Garp like that. So the fact they did it, even if it was as a team, is very impressive.
He wasn't trying to credit only Kuzan for the capture or whatever, that's nonsensical, because even if you argue the other crewmates didn't have much of an influence, Shiryu's stab was undeniably huge for them.

Come on man. Kaido got ragdolled by everyone (I could show you hundreds of panels, but Raizo is probably the most humiliating one). Struggled against Base Luffy in a 1v1, struggled against Gear 4 in a 1v1, and eventually got defeated in 2 chapters by Gear 5.
