I believe that the first Nika is a person who ate the Gomu Gomu fruit and turned it into a mythical Zoan. That was the ancestor of the Monkey Family with no D in the name

Then comes Joy Boy and eats his ancestor’s fruit and adds a D to his name making him Monkey D

And now Luffy, the great descendant eats the fruit of his 2 great ancestors to fulfill what they couldn’t

Yup my theory is that the Nika fruit was indeed the paramecia class, the Gomu Gomu fruit but when Nika ate the fruit and became a legendary figure his soul merged with the fruit turning it into a Zoan class instead.

So it being the Gomu Gomu fruit isn’t entirely false, because if Luffy’s fruit is the Nika fruit then where is the actual Gomu fruit? So either their is a Gomu fruit out there, or there’s not because that’s the Nika fruit

Well my theory is that he doesn’t exist, some human ate the Gomu Gomu fruit hundreds of years before Joy Boy was born, I believe it’s Joy Boy’s ancestor and the progenitor of the Monkey family.

This man had a lot of exploits and gained infamy during his time and was called Nika. After his death, his soul merged with the Gomu fruit turning it from a paramecia fruit into a Mythical Zoan class, the Nika fruit. Which was eaten by his descendant Joy Boy. And I believe both Nika and Joy Boy aren’t their actual names but it’s Monkey something.

Now Monkey D. Luffy their descendant ate their devil fruit and inherited both of their titles Nika and Joy Boy
