I think Elbaf may be the introduction of the ancient weapon Uranus:
1. What Uranus may be:
I think Uranus is going to draw its inspiration from Norse Mythology, specifically the weapon of Odin himself, Gungnir.
2. What Uranus will do:
As those who know the basics of Norse Mythology already know is Gungnir is a massive Spear gifted to Odin by his friend Loki as an apology for one of Loki’s many tricks.
Basically it’s one of the greatest weapons ever created in Norse Mythology as the dwarves created it. Sharp perfectly balanced, unstoppable spear.
However, beyond that, it’s a symbol of Odin. It was used to rally the Valkyries and the spirits in Valhalla when war was upon them.
3. How this may translate to One Piece:
I believe that this spear is one of the greatest weapons ever made (possibly beyond that of the Saijo O Wazamono) but beyond that also give the wielder access to an army of Valkyries themselves (winged warrior woman).
This may be why it’s Uranus and not Zeus. As Zeus is the god of the sky, he’s more connected to the lightning. Whereas an army of sky warriors does deserve the name Uranus after the heavens themselves.
4. We’ve already seen this item:
I believe we’ve already seen this item in the hands of its previous user Nika. In the image that Whos Who’s shows the sword is average it could be any normal bastard sword, however the spear is different. We’ve seen many spears in one piece, the Shandians used them; however, none had this unique bulb ending with a point. However, one person did carry a similar weapon
5. Where will it return:
I like to think Enel will return with it from the moon. The Enels staff is the most similar to the weapon without it being a spear. However, with Enel set to return after two years on the moon learning the secrets, I believe the previous God of Heavens returning to Earth carrying a weapon named for the skies themselves with an army at his disposal is a great reintroduction to the new world.
