Oda’s style is just to have some panel clashes with some good panel moments here and there. For minor fights anyway. Then the animators fill the gap. It seems more like a strategy than it does filler, utilizing every medium of the franchise to tell the story.
Yes the anime fight will take priority over the manga "fight", Oda offscreened way too much in the Egghead fights, he left the fights for the anime to fill.
We already know what happens in the manga, what happens here is irrelevant, but if they show us more scenes of Zoro and more attacks, for my sake, I'm tired of seeing the white jester.
Which is exactly what will happen, Toei and many of it's animators love Zoro. Just look at Zoro vs King in the anime vs in the manga.
Or Zoro vs S-Hawk more recently. They had like a panel yet they added much more.
