Well year Oda already said something about the village and sensei and I hope that's the end of it... I hope the entire reason for Zoro’s sensei being from Wano was to justify Zpro having Wado Ichimonji and thats it...
I do not want any more shit like Kuina is alive or his Sensei is Denjiro or he has a father or mother from wano
At this point Zoro doesn't care so we the readers don't care and forcing us to just care out of the blue is annoying (kind of like wit that one character)

The ending of Act 2 was just so perfect in terms of building anticipation, I don't foresee the war taking a break after it starts. The war will probably go all the way after the flashback till the end of the Act if not spanning multiple acts.
To be fair Sanji's origins were foreshadowed heavily since Skypeia.
Zoro had no such connections, so I'm pretty sure they won't pull something like that on us.

When Zoro re-uses Ashura you might not see me for a while from the hype
They will definitely get the main scenes since these are the most important characters, but since it'll be a big war I'm sure every character will get to skirmish. We've already seen a preview after Yasu's death with all the strawhats minus Luffy getting down and dirty, they've been planning for this literally since they first set foot in the new world at punk hazard. Everyone will fight.

Even if Zoro takes on Kaido it'll be within a group effort. I don't expect any single character of the alliance to outright beat Kaido 1vs1. Luffy will get the final blow/finisher but it'll be after a long Kaiju style battle.

Reminder who Zoro's target is, nope, not kaidou
The further we go into Wano, the clearer it is Momo is intended to kill Orochi. Learning that Oden eventually wished to be Shogun, and Momo inheriting the Snake Slayer sword, and the current Shogun is a snake, it's obvious Momo inherited Oden's will of rising to the throne. This is straight Hamlet.
Zoro, on the otherhand, has the one sword that injured Kaido, as well as connections to Ryuma the Dragon Slayer.
