I don't have any problems with the episode personally, imo it's a "good" episode but everything else in the final quarter of season 3 is "perfect".
I feel like it would have been better if they scrapped that episode and replaced it with a Toph/Zuko field trip.
Or they could have just made Boiling Rock not a two-parter and added the field trip and kept the Ember Island Players.
