He said he's less capable with his stand now, like an unused blade going dull or rusty I guess.
He mentioned early on He can't stop time as long anymore due to lack of using his stand especially vs enemy stand users or something.

On a separate note I think Kidds next big fight is going to be against coby. Once Coby takes down a prominent supernova like midd then we will see exactly what Coby is capable while giving Kidd one last purpose in the story
