The revolutionary army turning Mariejoa into a battlefield is part of the reason her dad died? Why would she trust them versus someone who’s come to her country’s aid before?

I just think that if the crew is supposed to get one final crewmate and Yamato doesn't join (i don't buy her a pulling jinbe, if she doesn't join now she never truly will), it's the only logical choice

Smoker? Would be fun to have an ex-marine logia... but it seems extremely unlikely
