I don’t know much about that actually
It’s more so Kishimoto’s own fault, like he knew the way he progressed the story isn’t right, he’s giving off too much info and have huge amount of text bubbles, but he made a gamble that people will tolerate it for his name, and he lost
Oh and another big thing that was a failure is the main couple, main character was absolutely an asshole when it comes to relationship and the whole thing just felt forced and uncomfortable(sounds familiar I know)
