Im going to say that i have observated a trend in some latinoamerican countriers.
They some times try to use anime to lure the youngsters into vote them, like i remember in Perú one of the female candidates make cosplay of the ginger girl in evangelion, dont remember the name right now.
And in another country they used a lot of anime music to their campaing too.
Another note i have is that here in spain they used dark souls ost for the holy week parade, to lure new blood basically.
