But he got scared from an old dude who's retired and admits he would lose, and now he gets a hard time by a single-member carried crew.

Oda deciding to do a "ace vs blackbeard 2.0" is "neutral" for BB, but terrible for his crew. Which devalues the hype from when the SH's face them, IMO.

Law has the ability to create openings like no other. Every attack of Zoro would be cancelled by the Gura Gura if not straight overpowered.

B/w Law and Zoro, Law's chances of getting overpowered against BB are 10X more than Zoro. You seem to forget Zoro is the power type, and he has CoC coating which could compete against GGnM in a direct confrontation.

Law creating more openings, whatever that means, doesn't make him a better fighter than Zoro. Zoro has ranged attacks available at any point in the fight while Law has to switch to Kroom—which results in him losing room—to do the same.
