Not reall VC is made by Oda while anime is not. Sometimes Toei can subtly foreshadow the events that are coming up in the anime because mostly due to events being done in the manga prior. So the reason why Toei introduces certain character first in anime while in the manga it takes hundred chapter to introduce that character is because that character has appeared in the manga.

For me i think the anime makes things clear what is not shown in the manga, like we never see the conclusion of Sanji vs Page One in the manga, what is Zoro actually doing with Yasuie back then. And that means, TOEI might doing a communication with Oda.

At the end of the day, manga is canon, anime is for people who wants motion pictures to understand the choreography of the sequences which gives almost correct approximation of the manga material and VC, most of the time is just an info about useless stuff .....whatever it is just chill and enjoy One Piece
