Zoro doesn't need to beat Mihawk. If so Zoro novel wouldn't have people debate who's WSS.
Being WSS isn't about beating The current WSS only. You can be wss by showcasing better feats.

Mihawk vs Zoro won't even be a serious battle so why would they fight for wss in a friendly clash between Master and Student?

As Mihawk is right now, Zoro can't go all out against his teacher who he established a bond with for 2 years.

There has to be several plot developments where Mihawk becomes an enemy to the SHs and requires taking down.

As the manga says Zoro swallowed his pride as a swordsman the very moment he asked Mihawk to train him for the sake of Luffy and the crew, it makes no sense for Zoro to have a deathmatch vs Mihawk if there aren't any plot reasons.

I think Samurai Gorosei is the Admiral level at best and not the most prominent one.

Mihawk should be Zoro's final opponent in the series.
