Luffy from 988 cannot tank an Elbaf Spear, let alone Luffy from 65 chapters ago. That Luffy gets destroyed. Even after training in Udon with everyone overhyping his advanced armament haki defense, it turns out the only thing he can do against the attack itself is try to dodge.

I've noticed in the recent chaptets that Luffy wants to just go at Kaido and fight him no matter what. But when he's infront of Big Mom he's either sweating/running away or just doesn't want a confrontation 🤔

Yeah, as much as people(mostly admirals fans) want to talk shit about Big Mom, it doesn't change the fact she's an even bigger threat than Kaido right now because she wants Luffy dead. and no amount of sneak attacks and team effort can stop her. Luffy prioritizes defeating Kaido first so he can do nothing but try to evade her as he has no way to deal with her without risking getting damaged.
