I was actually expecting Apoo to be someone who will be hiding during main fights. And get a good hit on Kaido, like he did with Kizaru...but he was just a minor enemy 
And I was firmly on the belief that he does not deserve to get that win or credit....
don't get me wrong. I love Apoo 100000times more than tsundere Kidd and Law... as a character he's way more entertaining for me
However, storywise, he does not deserve to get that redemption at the end JUST because we want to pander to him cause he's a supernova
It's just bullshit.... so I love the fact that he is being taken out as an enemy... MUCH BETTER storytelling... because I don't want every god damn suprnova to be protected by plot armor by joining the winner side in the last moment... Apoo betrayed? then let him face consequences of losing.. much better
he can get his redemption at final war arc instead or some future events, not here
