spoiler 1
Chapter opens with the impact of Luffy's Kong Gatling.
- Kaido is surprised how fast Luffy came up with way stronger versions of attacks that did next to no damage.
- He realizes there's no playing around any longer and goes back to his human form. He took some damage. Big Mom is dumbfound.
- Luffy and Zoro stand side by side, they're no longer the same people they used to be mere days ago, which reminds Kaido of a certain incident that occured exactly 8 years ago...
[Flashback, 7 years in the past]
- Freshman Calamity Jack reports Kaido that a certain "shooting star" pirate crew which recently made lots of headlines has arrived at Kuri bay.
- Kaido is drunk and tells Jack to go handle the situation because he has no interest in beating up some lukewarm Rookies today.
- The pirate crew is none other than the Red Hair Pirates led by Shanks.
- "Here we are... Oden-sans homeland, the well-fortified swordsmen nation that Hawk-eyes used to ramble so much about."
- Some fodder notes that it's ruled by a powerful pirate known as Kaido of the Hundred Beasts. Someone that they should better not anger.
- Shanks' attitude is a lot like Luffy's, he's looking for adventure and a certain man.
- Jack shows up with a bunch of fodders. He offers them two choices: To become Kaido's subordinates or die.
- Shanks blatantly ignores him and asks some fodders where the Flower Capital is because they have business there.
- Jack gets completely pissed and draws his blades ready to cut down some of Shanks men.
- The moment Jack goes onto his rampage, Shanks's attitude suddunly changes and his Haoshoku knocks out all of the fodders at once.
- Jack is in a state of a shock but aims for Shanks, when suddenly Beckman shows up and completely wrecks him in a single blow.
- The news spread fast. Kaido and the Calamities are alarmed now.
[Meanwhile at Ringo, Shrine of the Sword God]
- A cloaked silhouette is shown inside Ryuma's shrine. It's "Hawk-eyes" Mihawk. He went on a pilgrimage to the island of swordsmen. When he gets wind of what happened at Kuri he knows exactly that it's the Red Haired pirates and smiles.
- The Red Haired Pirates have arrived at the Flower Capital. Kaido shows up flanked by King and Queen.
- Shanks steps forward and draws his blade. "You must be Kaido then, huh?"
- Dragon Kaido charges at Shanks but is instantly cut down by what must be the most powerful Haki swordslash he has sensed since Oden gave him the scar. Kaido crushes to the ground while Shanks is triumphantly towering above him.
- King and Queen attack but are easily blocked by Beckman and Lucky Roo.
- The flashback ends and Kaido pictures Shanks and Mihawk's heads behind Luffy and Zoro.
- Kaido drops his club. Everyone knows what this means. It's time for his strongest form.
- The last time someone forced him to use it was Shanks.
- People started to call Shanks an Emperor shortly after they left Wano. Shanks and Mihawk were both invited to become Shichibukai by the World Government at the same time 10 years ago,but Shanks refused.
End.
