They changed the entire Dressrosa to make Luffy shine LMAO...
The original idea was to not defeat Mingo, or to Don't even have Dressrosa...The second idea was to make LEO help Luffy because of the simbolsim...And it ended up being Doffy just being god and tanking everything because Luffy had to give the final punch xDxD

On the 98th SbS Oda said Mingo was planned to be the strongest Kaido ally...
So :
-Dressrosa wasn't supposed to be as it was...or wasn't even supposed to exist with Mingo as an actual antagonist xdxD
-Jack was supposed to really save Mingo
-Dressrosa was entirely changed because of the editors xDxD
