I like Oden but I have to agree with that... The way Oda is showing people's love for Oden seems kind of forced.
It's almost as if Oda is literally pushing Oden through the reader's mouth just to show why people love Oden.

Oden has everything admire him

I bet even kaido was looking forward to meeting and fighting Oden the legendary most loved pirate...
He then realised Oden is too weak to kill him and foolish for not sailing under him

The love for Oden comes off very forced. The list of deeds Oden's accomplished probably jaded me on the character, I don't like it when an author has a resume of cool things accomplished by someone and expects me to immediately like them based on that. Strikes me as cheap.
