A couple of friends are arguing over this old Oda interview about Luffy not being strong enough to beat Kaido yet.

One says the English translation he read said " Luffy and I will have to figure out a solution".

The other one says the French translation he read said " I have found a solution", as in Oda had already figured out how Kaido was going to be defeated by the time of the interview.

Can some translator boi/gurl help settle the fight? :neesama:

But wasnt the first translation from like 2 years ago, i am sure oda has come up with something since he made that stamement

It's most likely 6 chapters, but from experience, the first chapter of the new year (Chapter 967 in this case) almost always leaks earlier than normal and we get it last day of December-ish. So probably 7.

This iv was from long time ago (think during zou arc) I am sure oda already find a way to defeat kaido...this is not same with ‘kishimoto doesnt know to defeat madara’ situation in naruto...

That's exactly what the argument is about. How Madara's defeat was handled is making people nervous :suresure:

I hope Oda's "solution" is a double happiness punch from Nami and Robin. Nobody would complain :steef:

When I reveal a new enemy, I think ‘This guy can’t be beaten’ so when I revealed Kaidou, as expected, I also thought ‘There’s no way this guy can be beaten’ Even now I’m not really sure exactly how this guy can be beaten but I together with Luffy, are gonna have to rattle our brains and think of a solution. ‘If I give an explanation like ‘This particular punch is strong so it should be able to take down Kaidou’ it wouldn’t be enough to convince the readers. However if I present an idea like ‘If I do this this, then I might just be able to beat Kaidou’, I think the viewers will start coming around to the idea that it’s possible for Kaidou to be beat.
