Will isn't a physical thing. For example, Luffy can't just become the pirate king tomorrow without any logic even though he carries Roger's will. There are a lot of other 'logical' reasons such as him gradually becoming stronger from East Blue till here and meeting people along with forming an appropriate crew for the adventure. Just like that, Enma alone won't just become black just because it's in its will to kill Kaido or something. There has to be a logical reason to it such as it absorbing more haki than every other sword or something.
