Its alright at best. The first hour is great, I personally loved the Meta stuff. That being said...the action was subpar at best, and considering that one of the best things the matrix films are known for is the action that was disappointing.

Watched the 4 Matrix movies recently, 1 was even better than I remembered and the nicest thing I can say about the others is that they continue the story, I wouldn't say I hate any of them but the perfect balance of effects, story and action of 1 is unmatched, 2 felt like it relied too much on the flashy elements of 1 and ends up holding up worse, 3 is a middle ground for me and while 4 tried to be too cute with its meta stuff it wasn't as bad as I expected. Anyone that didn't hate 2 and 3 will probably be fine with 4, it also went heavy with references and callbacks so watching them all before 4 is recommended.
