Imo learning adv coa is basically like learning a new language, to make it easier to learn a more complex language slightly similar to it (aka adv coc) but it's not a necessity to learn that complex language

You can make a case for doffy (even that is debatable given how he awakened it at an early age) but katakuri's coc was definitely on par with luffy's until the rooftop fight

Katakuri was able to cause massive damage to his environment with his coc alone

He's probably the closest character to have a chance of awakening adv coc
