I hope Shanks is the main villain for Luffy ( or villain figure if that makes sense ). I hope Oda finally grows some balls and matures Luffy a little with this fight/encounter. I don't ask Oda to change Luffy to the most mature man out there but he needs some sort of awakening because he is still tpo childish for his status especially post Wano.

I wanted Blackbeard before but I completely lost hype for him. + If Shanks dies before meeting Luffy it will be too fucking cliche.

To me BB has what I call a final boss trope. When they break the rules of one of the main abilities on the verse (df's) by managing to obtain a second one what no one ever did.

Maybe if Shanks also breaks some sort of rule involving haki he would be more special on my list, so we would have a villain that broke a rule for both powers.

Yami powers are irrelevant for Luffy lol. Luffy will have High Top Tier Haki by the time they fight which will be enough to fight Blackbeard.

The thing is BB will also have comparable haki even if Luffy gets better haki he will be comparable in haki too, + having 2 of the strongest abilities awakened means he could also bypass Luffy's haki too, on top of BB's own haki.

Remember BB is the same guy that scarred Shanks.

I view Shanks as a more cruel/more realistic version of Roger. Whereas Roger was just grown-up Luffy tbh.

No matter how we flip it Luffy can't just defeat everyone and announce freedom for the entire world. It's like more than impossible lol.

I know this is just a story and I should not think logically...But it still does not make sense for Mihawk to join seven warlord...Did he face a stronger opponent?
He even missed the opportunity to fight the Admirals...Sometimes I think Mihawk's reason was to stop Shanks

Mihawk is swordsman thru and thru. He could obviously beat Admirals but what's the purpose when man wants swordsmanship duels.

Joining Warlords granted him at least that he won't have to waste time on injuring admirals who fight differently to his prefered style as much as ridiculous it sounds, Mihawk really wants only sword duels.

I think the OG 3 are gonna face BB at somepoint too (maybe having a little chat instead of actual fight since it would be overkill) and then Zoro and Nami get spllited into their individual fights

Nami has no business there, she was clueless about the danger BB possessed back then, only Luffy and Zoro noticed something strange of him and that he wasn't alone he had a crew.

I believe a rooftop like fight between Luffy/Zoro and BB before Shiryu arrives sneaking on them and splitting Zoro.

We are likely gonna see the full potential of the clear clear fruit and awakened, Shiryu might develop some hax with it in combination with his swordsmanship and haki

This makes me think that she probably will fight chief of staff laffite since his position is more intelligence than strenght
