I didn't get to discuss much of the recent chapters cause of my inactivity, but I really loved the scene with Big Mom, Marco and Peros. When she told Peros "Don't you kids trust me" I felt she was breaking the 4th wall talking to people like Rossie lol

Marco is just a punching bag to any Skilled or powerful fighter.
He can't even Stalemate g4 by exchanging blows.

He's just like Doffy, the question is always "how long or how many attacks till he's beaten?"

The only reason Marco last long is because of his df. The dude has the worst combat Skills, AP, DC and AoE among all commanders and Warlords.
Trash offensive stats.

Anyway, I Can't wait for spoilers.

its called a balance, if Oda making Marco with big/massive attack damage he will be so broken.
He even survive from Kizaru's Yasakani No Magatama

The only interesting thing that can happen before chapter 1000 is Marco vs Big Mom, I'm not here for the gifter gauntlet

its lethal enough but i think Linlin isn't a "fast fighter" when it comes to her combat ability.
so Marco might be able to evade the attack everytime he want, but so far Marco is lacking of Attack/damage, so Big Mom of course will have the upper hand.

So the option of "Marco stalling Big Mom" is still there if anything happen to them.

She's plenty fast enough to keep up with Kaido and fuck up queen before he can react to her attack. Ikoku can be dodged well enough but another thing is that theres no character thus far that can block or eat it without being fucked up really really badly hence why it hasn't connected. If Big Mom and Marco fight, I think Ikoku can actually land because unlike everyone else, he has the tools to not be perma fucked by it. Like Kizaru wasn't busting out Magatama on WB even when he had the chance to it only landed on marco because he can survive having a million holes blown through him.

His fruit is amazing though. I want him to show off some offense though. He's my favorite commander behind Beckman.

Jo_Ndule had his first long post in months and the first thing he do is trash marco some things never change

He sticks by his principles until proven wrong. Thus far, Marco's AP has been rather unimpressive but im sure we'll get decent AP feats from him. His speciality is being an endurance wall. You need to have next level lethality and attack power to beat him easily.

Normally not a fan of 100s chapters being "special" story wise. I thought 1000 would be an exception. Wanted Vegapunk or Rock introduction. But it seems more and more likely it'll get celebrated on the commercial/marketing side of things (color pages, mangaka congratulatory messages, etc..) rather than in the actual story. I think it'll be whatever comes naturally in the story after whatever happens in 999.

Again, i dont think Marco had better feats when it comes to AP.

Granted he "kick" Aokiji and Kizaru in Marineford.
If Marco had high AP + his Phoenix regeneration, he will be so broken.

Yea, I believe Oda respects balance very well as well. With the exception of a few characters, most characters in the same tier have a balance that keeps them roughly equal to one another.

There's really nothing that can happen in Onigashima that will justify chapter 1000 hype for me, not even marines arriving. So yeah, if the act doesn't end by 999, my hopes for chapter 1000 is gone.
