Fuck Shueisha and all the people doing Copywrite strikes...
Honestly, this one day will lead to have less viewers day by day... It will not benefit them one bit...
Manga media in general has become MORE POPULAR because of Forums/Youtube/Twitter and people talking about those series and spreading the work...
One Piece in specific has a STRONGER population and for the past few years where sales have declined... it remained on the top 2 positions all thanks because there is a BIG COMMUNITY of people discussing the series and many different streams from all over the world with all different nationality/race/tongue... spreading this work
The moment you eliminate the community by suffocating them with copystrikes one after the other... is the moment the series will lose its value and One Piece will follow the other series route... which is fall behind in sales....
I honestly dare to say that the reason One Piece sales maintained its popularity despite the SLOW AS PACE is not only resting on Oda or his staff... but also the fandom is so much responsible.... The community maintain their thrill and kept on advertising the series and kept on that strong bond....
If Shueisha cannot see that full picture, then he does not deserve his fucking office as a manager of any sort....
Not to mention that only hardcore fans are searching for leaks and for early scans... and those SAME hardcore fans ALSO will check out the original Viz anyway SIMPLY because we look for the exact words for theories and speculations... So they are by no means having less sales because of it
They are targetting the wrong people.... because they are dumb enough to notice that the reason japanese manga has become so popular in the last decade in the world is THANKS to Youtube... no matter how they wanna slice it... no one gave a fuck about Anime... People used to say Anime/Manga is for kids... and Youtube CHANGED that... and Shueisha is TOO DUMB to realize that shit
