He can't end Egghead, Elbaf, and Lodestar in under 5 years, let alone vs BBPs, Final War, and epilogue.

He is just setting himself up for failure by adding mystery on top of mystery, no one is going to be satisfied when it's going to be revealed after being edged for so long

Oda actually included it in the original version of the chapter but it turns out Luffy's real dream in life beyond becoming PK is something so immeasurably foul that the editors had to cut the scene entirely just because he said what it was out loud. The strawhats are laughing afterwards because they don't want to accept the truth.

Why would you need to become Pirate King to make everyone laugh though? The rivals for PK and Marines would certainly not laugh about that.
