On this forum, i've often seeing people stereotype all powerups as the same thing, which is not true 
Just like haki, there are 2 different colors in powerup
1. Color of inner power
These power up cannot be attained without talents and skills from the users. For examples haki, black blade, DF awakening
2. Color of external power
In contrast to the inner power, the external power are instant powerup for the users. They can be gained regardless of talent or skills from the user. Examples of these powerups are raid suit, DF power, germa exoskeleton, zeus for nami
