First of all I’m one of the believers that the Gorosei are at least 200+ years if not more and are immortal in the same sense as Imu but I don’t think they are from the time of the void century like him.

I think that Nasujuro’s ancestors ruled Wano 800+ years ago under a different name than Ethan Baron and were the shogunate of Wano and that Wano is one of the 20 kingdoms along with Alabasta and Dressrosa who fought against Joy Boy in the void century under the Shogunate of the Ethan Baron family and lead by Nasujuro’s ancestor who is one of the first 20 kings

But the Kozuki who were most likely a mere family of stone masons and sword-smiths at the time allied with Joy Boy and after the Ethan Baron left for Mareijoa the Kozuki took over Wano and then closed the borders while their Shogun went to live in Mareijoa.

Wano as a nation is one of the founding members of the World Government and fought against Joy Boy in the void century(except the Kozuki who were JB’s allies) and most likely the fist Shogun from the Kozuki; Kozuki Kitetsu is the creator of the Shodai Kitetsu and gave it to the shogun of the time who then passed it on to his successors until it reached Nasujuro

Isn’t it ironic that three of the kingdoms that fought against Joy Boy in the past(Alabasta, Dressrosa annd possibly Wano) are going to fight on his side this time?

Stupid I’m talking about before that, as in before the Kozuki took over at the end of it.

My theory is that the Kozuki weren’t always royalty, they were common folks and specifically were professional stonemasons and sword-smiths for the royal family of that time.
