Maybe mythical zoans in general can influence other things with awakening. I always imagined Kaido would do so with his flaming clouds, if he was awakened.

Yes, Oda changed Luffy’s fruit from being relatively mundane to one of the most special ones. It’s awakening has properties of all the prior ones we’ve seen up to this point.
What a shame that the retcon had such far reaching consequences.

Zoan part is his transformation but he can also make his opponent rubber or pop his eyes, those are abilities of his awakening.

All great Logias were dealt with in Pre timeskip - Crocodile, Enel, Ace, Admirals.
Though Logias might be the best fruits depending on how Logia awakening is dealt with.

Kidd's awakening is really simple tbf.

His base ability turns him into a Magnet. His awakened ability allows him to assign & turn other things into Magnets.

That's basically what the gomu gomu no mi does, except since it is a zoan, it also boosts his physical strength and abilities.

imo, chances are that this is just how mythical zoan awakening works. Mythical zoan awakening = paramecia awakening + zoan awakening

Like saturn seems to be capable of effecting his surroundings as well.

the reason Oda plowed this to happen is because it doesn’t matter

is Katakuri turned hi opponents into mochi, that would be an instant win from him. Same for doffy’s strings… the reason turning into rubber is allowed by Oda is because it doesn’t instantaneously give Luffy the win

The fruit has the properties of both a Zoan awakening and a Parmecia awakening as mentioned by Kaido. However, no other parmecia awakening has displayed the ability to affect your opponents' body composition. Is this significant story-wise? Will it ever be addressed?
