Questions & Mysteries The Gorosei, are actually a Space Race.

One of the many questions on peoples minds is, how come when Oda introduced the Gorosei in their "Beast Forms" he did not do so with the added title of having Devil Fruits? This hasn't made a whole lot of sense to the readers, because if he's going to go through the trouble of giving these beasts names, then why not add the specific Devil Fruit that they are attached to as well?

Now there has been tons of different speculation as to why this can be, from they don't have Devil Fruits, and manifested their powers naturally, to Oda is just holding off until he decides what kind of Devil Fruit they have exactly. Perhaps a new classification of Zoan, or even awakened forms of other classes that give them turn them into Zoans, like the Gomu Gomu no Mi. Hell, we know that there are even "Special" versions of Devil Fruit classes, with Katakuri having a "Special" Paramaecia.

As it stands, any one of these speculations can be plausible, but I figured I would try to explore another avenue. Now I'm sure the thought of these guys being Beasts originally has crossed peoples minds (Or maybe not), but when you think about it, it does kind of make sense. We do have the Mink tribe in the One Piece universe, which does showcase that Beastlike people do exist. Now obviously the Gorosei, don't resemble Mink's at all, as when they are fully transformed, they look exactly like the beast that they represent, while Minks are more of a hybrid.

This got me thinking however, as when the Minks were fully introduced, I remembered that during Enel's cover story there were "Space Pirates" who strongly resembled the Mink tribe. So I recently went back and looked, and I discovered something. Not only are there Space Pirates that resemble the Minks in terms of being a hybrid with Humans, but there was one Space Pirate that looks exactly like an actual Beast. Oddly enough, this same Space Pirate, looks exactly like one of the Gorosei members, when fully transformed. That one is non other than Saint Shepard Ju Peter.

If we take a look at Saint Ju Peter, in his Beast form he is a giant Sandworm.

Now if we go back to Enel's Cover story, take a look at one of the members of the Space Pirates in the background.

It looks exactly like Ju Peter, when he is transformed.

Now if you think about it, there are various races within the One Piece World, who all have special bloodline abilities. One of the biggest mysteries involving the Gorosei, is how that all have the same ability to heal completely from any kind of damage. What if this wasn't some kind of DF ability, or anything like that, but actually the special ability of the race of the Space Pirates? That would make sense as to why they all share the same ability, if they were all members of a special race.

This would also give a deeper meaning behind the fact that the Gorosei look down on the races of the World so much, if it turns out, that they are from a race not of this World. Think about it. It's always been questionable as to why the Celestial Dragons view themselves as God amongst people, just because they won a War hundreds of years ago, and went to live on top of the Redline. What if it turns out, that all of this was orchestrated by Imu and the Gorosei, and even the other members of the Celestial Dragons are just pawns in their game? They convinced these guys they were Gods, when in reality, they are just normal humans, and the true God's are just the 6 members of this Special Race?

A revelation like this, would completely shatter the reality of the Celestial Dragons, which is a common theme in One Piece. The Villains don't die in One Piece, but instead have their World's turn apart, by losing their Dreams. The Celestial Dragons have been living in a dreamworld for Centuries, and this would be the ultimate reality check.

As an added bonus, this could also be the secret behind Blackbeard as well. Many people have speculated that he has a third "Zoan type" of Devil Fruit, and has some kind of connection to the moon, because of the drawing of him as a kid. If he's a member of this Special Race that has this unique healing ability, then it would not only explain how he is able to eat more than one Devil Fruit, but it would also explain why he's able to withstand the drawback of the Yami Yami no Mi, which causes him to suffer twice the damage of a normal person. Also, it would mean that he does have a beast form, but it's not actually a Zoan Devil fruit, but rather it's his true form. Now I know, he doesn't instantly heal like the Gorosei do, but that could be explained by the fact that he might only be half of the special race, as one of his parents could have been human, so he doesn't have the full effects of this healing factor of his bloodline, like the Gorosei do.

And I know, there is one glaring issue. How come they look human then? Well, truly the only thing I can think of, is as a Special Race, they have another special ability, and that would be shapeshifting.

I know it seems rather farfetched, and I doubt this will turn out 100 percent accurate, but I do think there might be some merit to it, especially Imu, the Gorosei, and Blackbeard all being from a special race not from the Earth. This would definitely explain why I believe Blackbeard is after the "Empty throne", which I have made posts about in the past.

So what do you guys think? Is there some sense behind it all, or is it just the ramblings of a crazy man?

Summoning @CoC: Color of Clowns who I think might get a kick out of this, and @Nidai_Kitetsu for the Blackbeard bits....

Wanted to re-visit this thread, as with the most recent chapter (1114) and the reveal of the Mother Flame, some eagle eyed individual pointed out that we had already seen a picture of the Mother Flame way back during Enel's Cover story.

With this, Oda has heavily linked Enel's cover story with the Egghead arc, and I might be onto something with my assessment that the Gorosei and the Space race of Enel's Cover story is linked.
