I think to make Sentomaru and Kizaru more special and stand out from other admirals haki (in the same way also Kuzan having been trained by Garp in the way of the fist and naturally haki and his df strengthening his fists further), it's possible that Kizaru and Sentomaru have a more refined version of armament haki barrier, and with Kizaru having taught it to him.

Kizaru is going to have the speed as well as defense capability from this "guard" haki.

Akainu, Fujitora, Ryokugyu are probably gonna some refining skill related to haki like Kizaru and Aokiji have shown too. Fujitora def a very refined CoO.

Probably.

Till now both Aokiji and Kizaru have shocked us with a punching specialty and a defense-oriented technique. Hard to not think at least Akainu will have one.

That just for saying that, even outside haki, Admirals are really complete fighters.
Yeah people have had all this idea that they are overreliant df characters when there's clearly more to them than just being overly reliant to their powers otherwise they would be just glorified enel/crocodile in power.

Kizaru has all the speed he needs from his df - focused on his defenseive technique

Someone mentioned it :
Kuzan : koka CoA
Kizaru : ryuo/barrier CoA
Akainu : internal destruction (adcoa)

Dont know why he said that if a panel ago he was hit directly in the head and even some blood was taken.

Guard? I dont see that guard, that only happened against Luffy and it didn't seem like Sentomaru's or barrier haki.

He took no damage and he said that so we can safely assume it no other way around it. He clearly took no damage.

And the guard? There isnt guard. He indeed took damage, there is blood. You can argue it was minimal or that he used haki on his face, but there isnt guard there.

I mean by the guard I obviously mean it as haki related, it's a haki skill and even in the opneing thread as a refined armament haki lol.

Yeah, there was all kind of sensless gibberish around them.

First, there they had no good haki, even if we saw them having great haki even back in MF.
Second, that they were physically weak, even though Akainu did what he did with one leg against WB bisento.
Third, that they were only DF-reliant (that's for all points, really), and now we are starting to discover that they even have other styles.

I think Kizaru's fight will be the end of all this headcanon.

That was not blood as I wasn't there other million times with the black dots:

Or Kaiso was bleeding according to you?
Mind you that I did not post it, but the next image we clearly see that he wasn't cut in any way.

It never was though.
Admirals showed barrier and it was back in MF which was a huge feat too
Haki wasn't a big thing pre-timeskip. It was mainly suppose to be effective way to hit logia while also having those other applications as enhancing arrows, reflecting attacks, cutting stell and preventing movements. Oh of course, knocking fodders by sheer will.

Since timeskip we've saw new applications of haki that wasn't given to Admirals yet. But now that they are the focus Oda is giving those feats to them as we saw with Aokiji and now Kizaru.
