Kaido is a walking contradiction? Nope. Goda is a genius.

Kaido character's actually supposed to represent that of a keyboard warrior, and he excels at this.

Against softcore threats, Condoms and Midd, people who he knows he can tank, he will recite stuff about dying, suicide and death being the completion of a man until they're all shook of his personality.

Against real threats like Zoro, he is forced to dodge his attacks or attempt a sneak attack from behind while they're on deaths door.



So no, Kaido is actually the most consistent character in Wano.

Oda wanted the focus of 1010 to be Luffy's next power up. As such, Asura was depicted as pretty underwhelming.

It's what it is, but it comes from Oda's love of Luffy.
