• "Ger/Gar" meaning spear or javelin
• "ling" is a suffix meaning descent or lineage

As a whole, the name Garling means "descendant of the spear" or "spearman".

I currently have a theory that the Figarlands originally came from Elbaf in ancient times, but aligned themselves with the world government.

Garling might be the main antagonist of Elbaf as he might want to reclaim that land to the Figarlands.
