Oda seems to be building up elbaf to be a big wano style arc.

One thing in particular I noticed is that it seems like elbaf will be the next arc where the big supernova will reunite. Luffy is going there, Kid’s ship sunk there, and Bepo swam away from winner island.

The question is why? The captains are very powerful, so it doesn’t make sense for them to reunite unless they are facing a new insurmountable threat.

The last time they allied, it was to bring down 2 yonko. The threat of elbaf must be even greater .

It can’t just be the BBP, it has to be something more imo. Given the hype the giants have, I think it’s very possible that the king of elbaf is Roger/WB level. That Teach will gain the alliance of the king. And that this is why Oda is setting up the captains to reunite.

Elbaf was called the strongest country on earth. Giants seem to be one of the strongest races, with them living hundreds of years. Given how elbaf has yet to be conquered by any yonko or the WG, it must have an extremely powerful force on it that is keeping other top tiers away.

Wano, a similarly isolated country, always had top tiers in it. First Oden, then Kaido, and now Yamato. Elbaf surely has a top tier in it.

I’m guessing that while the giant pirates and peasants favor Nika, the actual elbaf royalty is cruel and oppressive. Hence Luffy’s victory over the Teach/Elbaf king alliance, with the help of kid and law as well as probably the marines, will basically confirm the giants’ faith in Nika. Wano 2.0.

So yeah the big battles of elbaf, if I were to guess, are:
Luffy vs Teach
Kid and Law vs Elbaf King
Smoker and Koby vs Kuzan
And of course the Straw hat 1v1s

Power levels aside, I am curious about what type of direction Oda is going to take with the Prince of Elbaf, Loki. What kind of personality will he have? Is he the familiar trickster that we know, or is it more of a "Utgard-Loki" (Skyrmir) situation? What is the extent to which Elbaf royalty will be attributed directly to Norse mythology? Will we see Ymir (Aurgelmir) as the king of the giants, or is it the Aesir god path with Odin instead? There is quite a lot to dwell on.

I'm wondering if Akainu will pull up to Elbaf and bring about the One Piece version of Ragnarok. We also need to tie Shanks in somewhere unless he's either not present in the arc or dealt with by the offscreen-offscreen no mi.

Also, we saw Dorry blowing a horn in Chapter 1111 to signal the escape. That moment reminded me of the Gjallarhorn in a way, since it was used by Heimdall to announce the start of Ragnarok and the end of the gods. Who's to say that someone like Luffy can't grab it, use G5 to stretch its size to enormous proportions, and then blow it?

Like Dorry and Brogy went missing for 100 years and Elbaf was still unconquered. And we know BM wanted it. Yet she wasn’t willing to take it by force.

So elbaf must have its own top tier(s)

If those guys and Dorry and Brogy were the strongest giants then BM, or any top tier for that matter, could single handedly conquer elbaf.

That doesn’t happen, therefore elbaf must already be under the control of a top tier.

Almost every country in the NW is under the control of a top tier.

Either the WG or a yonko.

The exception is a place like Zou that you literally cannot find unless you are a mink or have a mink on your crew.

Like I said whomever is in charge of elbaf is so strong that they kept the yonko out.

Oden wasn’t strong enough to keep Kaido out of wano.

But the King of Elbaf, or whatever powerhouse is in charge of the island, has successfully prevented the yonko from conquering it.

PK level would make logical sense and it would raise the stakes.
