Speculations The Krieg pirates could be legitimately strong when they return

Why? They were DF-less and now are part of the BBP, a crew famous for hunting DFs.

Hence they have a good chance of returning with powerful DFs from being BBP crewmen, as well as at least some haki for virtue of the timeskip.

I think it is fair to expect them to return as somewhat capable fighters. In every enemy, you always have some characters who betray the enemy and help Luffy. In the BBP you had Drake and Yamato. In the BMP you had Jinbe, Bege, and Pudding.

My guess is that the BBP traitors will be the Krieg pirates. While I do think the Krieg pirates will be strong, I don’t think it makes sense for them to return as strong as CP0 did. Hence rather than having a rematch with the SHs, they will help them.

I think they will probably return with zoans and/or ancient zoans. Their main strength comes from their weapons, so zoans would fit them best. Possibilities:

Krieg = Mammoth fruit ~ returns around YC3 level
Gin = Sabertooth fruit. ~ returns around Veteran level
Pearl = Axlotl fruit. ~ returns around fodder VA level

The Krieg pirates were always impressive for an East Blue crew. Krieg himself was strong - imo far stronger than Arlong - and he had a fleet of a few thousand pirates. That was a lot. They had high potential but unfortunately on them, fate wasn't on their side.

Imagine strawhats trying to sail in Grand Line for the first time and their immediate enemy is motherfucking Kaido. Bad luck is an understatement here!
Yet, Krieg still tried to challenge the Grand Line. That deserves some mad respect. Look at Arlong; he was carried by the Sun pirates but his ass got handled in the New World and then he decided to to enslave a weak island in East Blue and thought he's finally above humans because lil boys ego got hurt when the big players whooped his butt lol.

That's why Arlong doesn't take a part in the New World - Krieg already surpassed him and now works for BB as one of his allied members.

Krieg is built different. His crew was stronger as well.

Krieg was the only EB pirate that fought Luffy to a draw which was awesome

The sheer loyalty gin had in this man shows that Krieg really was built different imo. And bro walked into the new world met a top 5 character within a few days and still wanted to go back.

I appreciate the dedication and hope he has a minor role in the BB arc

Gin was Portrayed to have same Potential as Sanji
But He obviously doesn't have an answer for Diable/Ifrit Power-Ups
So imo Gin is currently Same Level as Base Sanji (Normal Leg)
If He ate a DF, then i put him Same Level as Sanji out of TS
