Kumadori doesn't have that Kanjuro tie, it's his last name not his first and his mom is still alive.
The Kurozumi family is awesome. They have the strong Kurosawa vibes (in a black and white series, more black and white than the rest with that haunted old feel). Exploring old DF possessors by itself is fascinating.
But then they really play up the might makes right type of logic, not necessarily might but the Victor is the one who writes history. They actually defy might and emphasize what Dofy said about not getting by on guts and intensity. Will is what wins through but it's not a world where people play fair and forthcoming. The mighty Scabbards learned first-hand and then Oden was forced to do the same.
Orochi is really cool. It's more interesting that he's made of revenge and destiny than just his own outright greed. He's not a good person but this is a response to being hunted and persecuted. Right now we're looking at the last two members facing extermination. The Kozuki are taking the throne by bloodshed.
I really hope we get some follow up in Higurashi being killed.
