So becoming a marine automatically means you get trained in multiple ways of combat with that including being able to fight with a sword

With 2 of the new admirals Isshoactually carrying swords

Even Kuzan and Borsalino can make elemental swords with their devil fruits

So far the only Sakazuki hasn’t been shown carrying one or shown the ability to make one. We know he can at least use one but at the same time most people can tbf. Like hell even Marco has been shown with one. Either way I’m pretty sure at some point we’ll see Sakazuki with one again. With him potentially being able to forge his own diamond blades with his devil fruit. Just by super concentrating his magma to the point he’s able to create diamonds

It’d be funny if the reason Aramaki carries a black blade is because he’s such a Sakazuki fanboy he wanted a super tough also indestructible blade like him

Akainu seems like he's almost always been a pure brawler, he probably has some skill with a sword but I doubt he was ever a real swordsman
We already have two master swordsmen Admirals already anyway

Unlike characters like Linlin, teach, kaido, whitebeard, oden, etc. that are born monsters the admirals are “normal” humans so they make up for that difference even without their fruits

The less you have the more you need to compensate by getting good at more things

Idk if it’s a controversial opinion though while I think the emperors and admirals are relative to each other imo the emperors likely have more potential that they struggle to achieve. The admirals on the hand push themselves to their limits of their abilities to reach the level their on. Which isn’t bad cause st the end of the day they’re still all monsters
