Speculations The Narrative Element: Dreams

#1
I think I have learned a certain part of the "dreams" aspect of the story that has to do with how and why people lose their dreams or start new ones.

1. The story uses dreams as the basis for a protagonist or antagonists actions.

2. Losing a dream causes people to be depressed.

3. The 1st world and 2nd world likely both had World Kings and they had dreams.

4. The dreams were destroyed, but the reason they were destroyed is because the "heavens" decided for them to be destroyed.

5. People were blessed with Conqueror's Haki by the heavens to create their own eras and this means they must destroy the dream of the previous era for their dream to succeed.

If Blackbeard's crew were to speak of this, they would say something like "It's fate, the result of good and bad deeds you have committed in your life as a result of karma."

These people represent specific dreams that can change the course of history in the 3rd world. They aren't just good guys and bad guys, they're more nuanced. Each one of them has a specific dream they're aiming for.

An interesting point about this is that Buggy is the most unlikely of candidates to change history, but his dream also aligns with Crocodile and Mihawk's current dreams. If they simply didn't want to do it, they wouldn't go along with it. They're invested enough to do it with him as fellow former warlords.

Another interesting point to consider is Garling's case. Why does he have a dream of his own that's separate from Imu's? There's something going on there, it's possible he's trying to not only become a Five Elder Star, but overthrow Imu and create his own world order. It's curious.

Although, the same thing can be said for Sabo or Shanks or even the Admirals and Koby. Why does Sabo have a dream that's different than Dragon's, why does Kuzan have a dream that's different than Akainu's, and further why is Koby's dream different than both of theirs? Why does Shanks have a different dream than Luffy?

The page below shows a huge conflict of interest. Their dreams are all independent of one another, and apparently whoever claims the One Piece is the one who decides the fate of the world.

In regard to Buggy, I want to mention that I think Blackbeard may represent "Chaos" and Buggy may represent "Anarchy". Likewise, Luffy represents "Freedom" and Shanks represents "Order". Besides them, the smaller category relating to the World Government, Celestial Dragons, and Revolutionaries is framed as having inner conflicts outside of those frameworks.
