one of ace's better memories from his short life is probably the huge party buggy threw him :)

also something that i never see mentioned is that when young buggy and shanks were talking about blackbeard's weird no-sleep habits, it was actually buggy who noticed BB's weirdness and told shanks about it. shanks was dumb and oblivious, while buggy was observant. in addition to being smart/attentive, buggy was funny and charismatic, he was also genuinely attached to roger. i bet buggy was roger's favorite.
