Even if Akainu fights Sabo or Dragon instead of Luffy, I’d argue the narrative implication is that he should be around prime Sengoku in power.
Dragon is obviously a high Yonko/PK level threat. And Sabo doesn’t have lower potential than either of his brothers, who both literally have PK potential.
The writing is on the wall for Akainu.

Not to mention, people that support Sabo vs Akainu are usual Yonko fans.
