Controversial The Parallels between Jesus and Nika ( not Luffy )

#5
  • Incarnation of a deity in some way.
  • Chosen one who will fulfill a prophecy to a nation after centuries of waiting (Promise to Fishman island/Promised Messiah of Israel)
  • Liberator of the world from evil/oppression.
  • Enemy of a demonic/draconic figure (Imu/Satan from Revelation).
  • Took up their divine mantle fully after being resurrected from the dead
  • Both have white hair and special eyes in their final form. (When Jesus comes back in Revelation, he has hair "white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire .")
  • Both have a special/chosen lineage. (Jesus is a descendant of King David and Abraham (the father of the chosen people of Israel), while Luffy is a member of the special D. clan.)
The parallels are real.:shocked:

Roger: Rayleigh let's turn the world upside down

Acts 17:6
6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;

2 Corinthians 4:1 - 4:5

Now viewing scripture range from the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 4:1 through chapter 4:5...
2 Corinthians Chapter 4

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

.

2 Corinthians 4:4 reffers to Satan as the god of the world, Imu is called god by the gorosei, who have demonic imagery, and Sabo said hell was at the top of the world

Also there is an ancient saying "IC XC NI KA" which means "Jesus Christ conquers", and Kuma has a Bible and was a pastor but seemed to worship Nika, also in the church the sun symbol on Nika's shield was int he middle of a cross on the wall when Kuma says he will raise Bonney well

Luffy is more like an unknowing disciple or something rather than a direct allegory of Jesus. At least not one that's biblically consistent, unless this is supposed to be his first coming, which it clearly isnt (joyboy/nika has been around for a while). Jesus does not return in the flesh.

Luffy tends to behave in ways that are 'Christ-like' without him even realizing it, and he explicitly rejects being called "a god" on multiple occasions. So more like a human who carries the 'Spirit of God' (or whatever One Piece equivalent may be) with him than God Incarnate. I noticed these things years ago, always had a feeling Fujitora is like an angel of some kind when he was introduced, made a post about it here in case it happens to be correct in the future lol. Usually where there's demons there are angels, and as satan is supposed to be already defeated and exiled to the world, it makes sense that they typically don't interfere. That is if the story follows the same premise of course.

Anyone remember the supposed "leak" from like 10+ years ago that went something like "the final war will happen after luffy unites the marines and pirates against the devil, who will inhabit blackbeard after skimming all the devil fruit powers from the surface of the sea"? Clearly it's not 100% accurate (maybe Oda changed it?) but the 'final villain is the devil' part is absolutely correct, pentagrams and all lol. BB being the final character that Imu/satan possesses is also likely true, though he may not literally end up being called "devil" or "satan".
