Speculations the possibility that weevil actually is the son of Whitebeard

#1
Whitebeard always wanted a family. Hence it makes sense for him to have actually tried to have a biological child.

We know that Bakkin was on the Rocks crew as Marco stated they were on a crew 40 year ago. According to vivre card, Weevil is 35 years old, meaning that he was born shortly after the disintegration of Rocks. Given the short time difference between the Weevil's birth and Rocks, I think its possible that after the end of Rocks, Whitebeard might have tried to have a family. It was, after all, his dream.

Oda needs to have some sort of explanation why Whitebeard didn't have a family. Perhaps he actually tried to have one with Bakkin, but Bakkin was only interested in him for power. Perhaps after Weevil was born, Bakkin took weevil and ran off. Whatever it was that happened between Whitebeard and Bakkin, I think this is the reason why WB chose to make a pirate crew his family instead of having a biological one.

as for weevil, while he might look stupid, he does have the strength of young whitebeard. He has blonde hair and even a white mustache, just like his father. If he was not fat, he might even have some physical resemblance to him as well.

It doesn't make sense for Bakkin to never come to WB and mention to him about his son when WB was on the top.

In any case, Bakkin seems to be super-manipulative. So, it is difficult to say at this moment. But I am leaning towards Weevil all actually being WB's son.

The bigger question is: what WB's treasure is she searching for? It has to be something from Xebec's time if Bakkin never confronted WB for 35 years.

another thing. Oda stresses non-biological families over biological families

see:
  • Dadan, Ace, Sabo, luffy
  • Sanji Zeff
  • Nami, Nojiko, Bellmere
  • Chopper Hiriluk
  • Robin Saul
fuck, even look at King, Queen, and Jack who are "brothers" despite them obviously not being biologically related

so it makes sense for Weevil to be the 'self proclaimed son' of Whitebeard even if he is biologically related to him

Not only is Weevil Whitebeard's son.... Kaido and Weevil are going to fight together side by side in final war.

Oda wasn't joking when he said the next war would make Marineford look like a cute lil tea party.

Just you motherfuckers wait :tchpepe:
