In reply to the question brudda @King7 asked about what I see in Grus' DF potential. I wanted to create a more elaborative post and just get the community's opinion on it as well, because it is a very unique DF with insane potential. So let's get into the potential of the Clay Man.
Known Abilities so far:
This is a power very similar to that of Cracker's. Except Grus is creating beings of different sizes and ability. In the scene below for example, there's 3 of them. Two are swordsmen, one is using a flame thrower and all 3 of them have completely different designs, beings that can utilize different fighting styles. Now the difference is that unlike Cracker's Biscuit soldiers that break, you can these mfs up and they'll rise back up like Logia.
This DF much like Karasu's is a very confusing one. If I had to take a guess, it's a logia, seeing that Prince's hands are turning into clay here. But its not like we see a complete Clay transformation from him, so it's hard to say that and it could just be paramecia, where his fingers are simply covered in Clay, which he can produce out of his body akin to Doflamingo's strings or Katakuri's Mochi or Mr3's Wax fruit.
For example here, when he creates the padding for the ship to land on, we can see the fingers behind the clay coming out of the hand. This is very similar to Mr3's devil fruit usage imo, where he's able to produce Wax, and with that wax he was able to create armor like "Candle Champion" for example.
Being able to make different types of weapons, he makes a Mace. And we've seen two Marine top tiers who also create weapons with their elements, Kuzan and Borsalino.
Ability to create a large Web, akin to Doflamingo's.
Potential:
I think what we're looking at it is a potential peak 1-man army type of DF. Cracker's biscuit soldiers are capable of handling punches from G4 WCI Luffy without breaking with their Shields, and maybe around G2/G3 Luffy at max (hard to say, since it was Cracker himself inside the armor who fought Luffy and not a biscuit soldier when he destroyed him). But still they're strong.
Prince Grus with his DF can upscale that. With his soldiers essentially being logia capable of regenerating themselves if they're cut or broken. So if he manages to find a way to increase their power, then my god, we're looking at an army of mini-logia mfs who can easily take over a nation while dude just sits in the back. With the highlighting he got alongside Koby at Hachinuso with being the 2nd most relevant Marine after Garp, I think him being a top tier at his peak is set in stone at this point. And what we know is the powers of the DF also grow as a person grows. So his ability to create more clay soldiers should grow if he were to attain top tier level stamina and endurance. The only thing would be the actual fighting power of the clones, but see unlike Cracker's clones... this mf can actually train his in different fighting styles... and that's bloody insane. Mans could create a whole squadron of snipers, swordsmen, flamethrowers, etc etc.
On top of that you add in, his potential ability to create armor suits like Mr3 did, which should be easier for him since Clay is like the perfect molding thing there is. So those clones can be scaled up to Giant Sizes too with armor.
He can also effectively use his DF in a manner that Katakuri used his Mochi Mochi. Where he's creating these giant clay hands for brawling or he's creating weapons, all of which he can coat with Haki, and if he ends up attaining CoO like FS, hell you have essentially a Cracker + Katakuri combo right there.
Awakening, my assumption for his awakening would be akin to Doffy's where he'll turn the entire environment into Clay. And if that ends up being the case, his clones which act like Logia while being sentient... moving throughout the entire environment that's turned into Clay.. my god.
But this is sort of what I see Grus' potential with his DF being or capable of reaching. For me he will be a top tier without a doubt akin to Koby, whenever he reaches his peak. So once he gains that top tier stamina would easily help him do all of the above. On top of the Haki upgrades and Rokushiki upgrades.
