Character Discussion The REAL biggest upscale of God Valley: Vice Admiral Bogard

#1

- been fighting the Roger pirates alongside Garp since the era of Rocks, most likely the marine rival to Gaban or Rayleigh.
- actually showed up at God Valley unlike Sengoku and Tsuru who are Garp's supposed contemporaries
- aged better than even Shakky, he's estimated to be in his 60s in the modern day yet looks the same as he did 38 years ago. If no Imu-granted immortality then he just has crazy good genetics
- could've held the title of world's strongest swordsman before Mihawk, he's at the very least the Marine's strongest swordsman
- responsible for training the future of the marine, Koby, who is now a world renowned hero

I'm fully expecting Oda to give the deep dive on Bogard's character in a future chapter just like how he's doing with Scopper Gaban. This man is a lurking legend waiting to be uncovered for the final war.

Bogard is what Ray was supposed to be with his supposed "Dark King" Title. Ray is basically a celebrity he ain't no Dark King. More like Shiny King.

Bogard on the other he really embodies standing in the Shadow of the main guy

Bogard isn’t a vice admiral
For how long Bogard has been in the marines and given his associates, he has to be a vice admiral in the present day.

Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if at some point in the past the World Government tried to recruit him into Cipher Pol 0 given his reputation as this silent blade of the marines.

Garp is very likely the next major flashback character, with his flashback probably being comparable in size and depth to Harald, Kuma, and Oden’s.

Like the aforementioned folk, Garp is a empathetic Chad type character who was present for key points and is very relevant in the upcoming arc as he is Teach’s prisoner.

A Garp flashback would cover:
  • The God Valley incident itself
  • Dragon’s backstory
  • Backstories for any relevant marines(Akainu, Kuzan, Kizaru, and old legends)
  • Additional backstories for Rocks and Roger
Within this, Bogard getting some feats should be expected.
