If Yamato joins the Strawhats, she will automatically falls below Sanji due to Monster Trio hierarchy.

But it seems that Oda changed his mind about the 10th Strawhat due to Kuzan being a Titanic Captain.

Yamato didn’t join because she was stronger than Sanji and would fuck up the monster trio. But now Yamato joining would be a perfect match for Aokiji. I want Yamato to join.
Exactly, she is just to strong. And in final arc what we needed was tension
The entire story would change with yamato joining which is why I think yamato will join late game around when Luffy becomes pk.
She will became SH before Luffy will became a PK
When robin joined she was way stronger relative to jinbei in FMI in the story, you guys just reading two piece and are obsessed with power scaling
Robin wasn't that strong, she had several weaknesses

Because She was an awful character? At least for me.

But having said that, Oda probably changed his mind about having a wanna be Oden for the rest of the manga.

because they are an ass characters and your average 1 arc "help me luffy and the strawhats" person
Nami was your average ''help me luffy and the straw hats person''
Zoro was your average ''help me luffy''
Usopp was your average ''help me luffy and the straw hats person''
Robin was your average ''help me luffy and the straw hats person''

,etc.

I like Yamato but certain type of fans will be unbearably annoying if she joins because we will never hear the end of her being the “first xyz” of the Straw Hats. Those people still don’t believe she is a woman. Unbelievable.

No thanks, being a Wano guard fits her.

My first guess would be that Oda knew she was never going to join but created the ultimate bait waifu anyway as a last ditch attempt to have a Wano character people actually liked. In most arcs I'd argue there's at least one standout FOTM character that reaches good popularity (ex. Cabbage, Barto, Reiju placing really high in their first polls even though they fell off later). Absolutely every Wanoese character was a complete and utter dud.

Kaidou never defeated Yamato. She fought Kaidou for some time and walked out that fight in decent condition.
Why do you think Kaidou stopped hitting her when she was on the ground unable to do anything during the fight?

And later on she literally fell to her knees trembling momentarily, things would have ended much worse for her if Kaidou hadn't stopped the temporary education he was giving her.

However you look at it, it's a defeat for Yamato, because Kaidou felt so sorry for her that he literally stopped attacking her.

Yamato was the last one beating on Kaidou, and then Luffy interrupted.

Yamato was the last one beating on Kaidou, and then Luffy interrupted.
Yamato was overpowered and humiliated by Kaidou on the roof, Kaidou for X reasons stopped focusing on Yamato (things ended very badly for Yamato if he decided to continue), and then she got up saying that it wasn't over yet when Kaido got out of his form hybrid and went into its Base form for no reason.

Kaido's return to his Base form symbolizes to me that he ended up with Yamato, that's how I see it, then Yamato only served in the fight with Kaidou for a combined blow with Luffy, and that's it. Regardless of what you think about Kaidou vs Yamato, even under the circumstances that Kaidou was up against Yamato (already showing signs of exhaustion) Yamato declared that he couldn't defeat him.

This is cool and all but Yamato was never defeated objectively. She couldn't defeat Kaidou, but she was still standing strong.

Unless she shows up again very soon, it doesn’t matter if she joins…Wano was already late enough in the series that if she was gonna get to know the SHP between then and the real endgame, she would have needed to join right at that time so she could be part of the action happening now and going forward. I beat the drum for her louder than most, but I’m not gonna sit here and tell myself or any of you that there’s a better moment in the future for her to become a crew member than immediately after all the buildup and declarations, that was it :hapnoel:
