In the Oden flashback, we were shown how news spread around the world of Roger finding the OP and becoming Pirate King.
But one question I have. How did anybody ever find out about this? Apart from the Roger Pirates themselves, someone must have witnessed Roger reach Laugh Tale.
My guess is, the WG likely sent an elite Squad to stop Roger from reaching Laugh Tale. This team failed, and hence can attest to Roger becoming PK.
Frankly this is the least I would expect the WG to do.
This is why Sengoku was sweating when WB mentioned One Piece in MF. Sengoku knows the One Piece is real because he likely fought Roger on the shores of Laugh Tale to prevent him from getting it.
If I were to guess who was involved in the battle, probably a combination of admirals and holy knights. The WG force lost, and were hence able to attest to Roger becoming PK. Somehow the news slipped(Morgans probably), and the world found out.
In any case, decent chance we’ll see a repeat of that this time around. Perhaps Akainu vs Luffy on Laugh Tale or the seas surrounding it.
