General & Others The Secret Book That Predicted One Piece 62 Years Ago

#1
There is a book written by Chan Thomas in 1963, whose original copies — containing around 200 pages — disappeared from bookstores and libraries after the 1960s. The CIA archived the work, making public only 57 pages of a partial and censored version. The document was labeled “Sanitized Copy”, and the rest was never officially released.

In alternative forums and discussions, various speculations have emerged about the reason for its suppression, including theories about possible “sensitive information” related to national security.

Between 2019 and 2021, independent researchers and collectors began to find old physical copies of the complete book, scanning them and comparing them with the partial version released by the CIA. Based on these materials, restorers cross-referenced the sources and reconstructed the full text, which can now be found digitally on the internet, containing 196 pages.

The book is called The Adam and Eve Story: The History of Cataclysms.

This book is an enigmatic work that blends science, mythology, and philosophy to propose a cyclical view of Earth’s history. According to Thomas, humanity lives under a recurring pattern of destruction and rebirth: global cataclysms caused by sudden shifts of the Earth’s crust erase entire civilizations, and a few survivors restart the world, becoming the “Adams and Eves” of new eras.

The book combines apocalyptic narrative with spiritual reflections, describing the end of previous worlds, the forgetting of the past, and the inevitable return of natural chaos. This idea of a planet harboring the ruins of forgotten civilizations, lost knowledge, and an endlessly repeating cycle, interestingly, resonates in modern works — especially One Piece.

In this thread, I present, through a comparative analysis, notable parallels between Chan Thomas’s concept and the universe created by Eiichiro Oda: a world shaped by ancient cataclysms, a vanished civilization, and the quest for a forgotten truth that could change everything. Both, in their own way, tell the same eternal story — that of humanity trying to remember what time and the sea have erased.

The Next Cataclysm

The text describes a global cataclysm of incomprehensible proportions, involving earthquakes, supersonic winds, massive tsunamis, and molten lava that devastate the Earth. The consequences are immediate and devastating: entire cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago vanish, continents are covered by water and fire, and millions of living beings are exterminated or frozen.

In One Piece, we have already witnessed catastrophic events: gusts of wind across the seas and rising sea levels, causing tsunamis and sinking islands.

The Great Floods

The text suggests that figures such as Noah, Adam and Eve, Vishnu, and Osiris symbolize ancient civilizations that survived recurring global cataclysms—sudden shifts of the Earth’s crust that erase entire societies. Over time, various researchers sought to explain these catastrophes, and geological and mythological evidence worldwide—frozen mammoths, flood legends, and sudden pole shifts—seem to support their occurrence.
The author claims that these cataclysms are triggered by disruptions in the Earth’s internal magnetic and electrical balance, causing the outer crust to slide over a molten layer beneath it. This rapid shift moves the poles toward the equator, unleashing massive winds, floods, and extinctions within hours. According to this view, many myths from different cultures—such as those of Noah, Vishnu, and Osiris—are not mere legends, but preserved memories of these ancient global disasters.
In One Piece, the gods are reflections of memories from the past, usually associated with nature. In different cultures, the same god can have varying interpretations and meanings. The Sun God, Nika, can be seen as either the God of Liberation or the God of Destruction, depending on the region and culture.

The Event

The text explores the story of Adam and Eve as an ancient narrative, possibly originating from a global cataclysm around 11,500 years ago. The author suggests that the original story was recorded in the glyphs of the Naga language, a predecessor of many ancient languages, and later interpreted literally by Moses, Aaron, and Ezra, who did not fully understand the symbols. Elements such as the tree, the serpent, fire, and cherubim symbolized continents, oceans, and natural catastrophes. The interpretation indicates that Eve was Adam’s daughter, both descended from the original humanity, and that survival required leaving the mother continent before its destruction. The story persisted through generations and reconstructions, eventually forming the Genesis texts as we know them today.

In One Piece, we have the texts of the Poneglyphs written in a language incomprehensible to most peoples. We can associate the elements:

  • Tree: Adam and Eve
  • Serpent: Red Line
  • Fire: Mother Flame
  • Cherubim: Lunarians
All of these elements are present in Harley's mural.
