Character Discussion The Shakky glaze is the most annoying and stupidest part of this Elbaf flashback

I think you misunderstood my intent lol. My point was just commenting about Shakky's supposed "mid" look in her prime. That's just Oda's limitation as an artist (same with how she's looking not substantially different to her old self).
Plot vise. Obviously this is something Loda came up recently.
Shakky had buildup to be a Kuja empress, it was a popular theory that she was a Kuja who joined Rocks (that turned out to be Gloriosa instead).
And sure, she might have been quite infamous for her looks back then, Kuja empress stock.
But no way she was planned to be important enough to be trigger of God valley lmao. Or someone that makes Boa's current infamy look like a completle joke - for Boa, most strong dudes just act normal around her, while it's just scrubs acting out. While Shakky had Rocks, Roger and even Whitebeard act out lmao.

Realistically this could have been done in a more creative way to where she's central to all of these pirates but for a different reason entirely.
But honestly im not surprised, Kuja women dying of lovesickness all the time already was a stupid ass plot 15 years ago lol, and here Shakky was reduced to that. She's just Boa Hancock again

I have nothing against Shakky as a character, but her constant glaze has become Oden level of annoying.
This part of the flashback right here in chapter 1159 is just plain dumb, like wtf do you mean World's Economy ground to a halt for several weeks because of Shakky?
That's not even funny, that just makes no sense at all, Oda is really trying to shove Shakky down our throats and make it seem like she is the greatest female character of all time.
Shakky didn't do anything super notable as far as I can tell, and her design is only decent, it is not the greatest of all time in which Oda is trying to make us believe.
So far I've been really enjoying the Elbaf flashback, but this Shakky stuff is the only part of the flashback that imo isn't enjoyable.

Interms of being the icon, fame, popularity, status etc. She might legit negged Roger during this time, let alone most of the Rocks members.
